A dynamic church on a mission to transform lives

Covenant Church is a Bible-believing Christian Family Church. It is our mission to spread the gospel of the Jesus Christ to all nations, transforming and making disciples of these lives for Christ, teaching and equipping them to grow into spiritual maturity to become effective tools that will bring direction to the rest of our world.

We are a multinational interdenominational church and we exist as a family in Christ Jesus. We aim to assimilate people of all colour, language and culture into the family of God as we pray, praise, worship and hear the Word of Truth. We teach the unadulterated word of God and we believe in the transforming power of the Spirit of God.

We are committed to the total well-being of our members – Spirit, Soul and Body.

The Scriptures: The bible, both Old and New Testaments, as God’s written word which is infallible and authoritative, and as the only rule for Christian faith and conduct and the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks (2 Timothy 3:16).

The Trinity: There is one true God. The Godhead eternally exists in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one and co-equals having the same nature, attributes, and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28: 19-20).

The Deity of Christ: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death and atonement through his blood, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return to this earth in power and glory (Matthew 1:18-25)

Man: That man was created in the image of God and that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for salvation (Genesis 1:27).

Water Baptism: Baptism in water is by immersion and for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the born again Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12).

The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit descended on the Day of Pentecost according to the divine promise and dwells in every believer and His baptism is for all believers who ask for this experience. The Fruit of the Spirit and Gifts of the Spirit in the lives of believers are visible demonstrations of His presence (Acts 2:1-4, 38-39; Galatians 5:22).

Holiness: Every believer is called to live in holiness without which no one can see God. By the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit the believer is enabled to live a holy life (Luke 6:43-44; Galatians 5:16-24; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Divine Healing: Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is accomplished by the power of God through the prayer of faith and the laying on of hands (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15).

Resurrection: The bodily resurrection of both the saved and unsaved. The saved are resurrected unto eternal life and the unsaved unto eternal damnation (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).

The Great Commission: God’s plan is for every believer to be a witness to the world proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom, bringing the world to the salvation knowledge of Christ and making disciples through the teaching of His Word in the local church as a means of accomplishing His purpose (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16).

Tithing and Offering: Tithing and bringing offerings into the local Church is a major Covenant Obligation that we have toward God as His partners, for the support of all the ministries of the Church, the poor, homeless, the widows, and otherwise unfortunate (Malachi 3:8-12; Genesis 14:18-20; Genesis 8: 17-18).

These core beliefs make up the foundation upon which all our ministry endeavors are based.
